A Conversation with Youtube Star Justin Tse

Following requests from community members for a community skills building event discussing topics such as personal branding, entrepreneurship, and work transferable skills as a new graduate, this event was planned to give students access to experts on these subjects. This workshop included topics on personal branding from industry experts, and former UVic student and Youtube Star Justin Tse sharing his entrepreneurship experience.

Justin, being a tech entrepreneur and Youtuber, with over 400,000 subscribers discussed topics such as why he dropped out of university, how he became an entrepreneur, self employment insights, and insights on being a brand ambassador. The event also featured Dayle McMilian Financial Planner discussing how to build your brand, Morgan Killinger Banking advisor and a former owner of 2 e-commerce businesses on his entrepreneurial insights, and Patrick Woo financial expert on the basics of starting a business. We received excellent feedback from this event, and students from different faculties and backgrounds were able to benefit from the information provided.
